The Nautiz X5 is a new rugged Windows Mobile 6.1 based touchscreen handset, produced by Handheld Europe. It's a the most feature rich rugged device on the market, and apart from the speedy 806MHz Marvell CPU, it is capable of withstanding temperatures ranging between -20°C and 55°C. X5's features include:
- GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA connectivity;
- 3.5" TFT touchscreen with 480 x 640 resolution;

During the MWC 2009 event, i-mate has announced a couple of its new smartphones, including the Legionnaire (pic) and Centurion. The first is a full-touchscreen handset bound for release in Q3 of 2009 for $500. The second doesn't have a touchscreen, but it does come with a QWERTY keyboard, as well as HSDPA support, GPS, Bluetooth, 2Mpix camera. The Centurion will be available in the second half of 2009 for $550.
