BlackBerry Curve 8330 and 8330m owners at Sprint can now get the official OS 4.5.0.175 update for their handsets. The file can be downloaded here. If you’re on another carrier, you’ll need to delete the vendor.xml file (located in c:program files > common files > research in motion > apploader) to install.

Be sure to take all the necesary precautions.

There is a leaked OS update for the BlackBerry Storm 9530 that bumps the version to 5.0.0.323. This release is not official, as the new firmware was supposed to become available to Verizon customers, owners of the original BlackBerry Storm along with the release of the new Storm 2. Owners of the HTC Snap and Touch Pro2 smartphones in Europe can now download the official Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM for their handsets. Releasing the update for the U.S. models will depend on the repective carriers.

HTC has isued a new firmware build for its Hero handset, which should once and for all eliminate the lagging issue.
