Verizon and AT&T customers who own a Palm Pre Plus can now install an OTA webOS 1.4.5 update. The new build should improve PDK support, gaming, and include some GPS fixes.

Verizon has issued an OS update for BlackBerry Curve 8530. The OS 5.0.0.886 is currently available from Verizon's website, and is expected to include some bug fixes and make the handset run a bit smoother overall.

Apple has issued the iOS 4.1 update for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and the iPod Touch. The new OS build fixes the proximity sensor bug and performance issues on the iPhone 3G. Also, it adds a few new features, such as:

Rogers has released an over-the-air Android 2.1 update for HTC Magic+ and Samsung Galaxy Spica. The Spica's update process is a little more complex: you need to have access to a Windows PC and download a binary and cable up to get the update installed. Too bad it's not Froyo though.

T-Mobile has issued the latest BlackBerry OS update for Curve 8520 and 8900 users. The new OS 5.0.0.822 is a hefty 151MB in size and can be downloaded here.

Motorola has revealed the Android 2.2 Froyo update release schedule for its Milestone handset. The update will first be available to Korean customers, and will hit Europe later in Q4.

Sprint has started rolling out Palm webOS 1.4.5 to its Palm Pre and Pixi smartphones. The update includes numerous fixes and improvements, such as better power usage and battery optimization, allows users to send MMS texts from the video application along with a new video trim feature, and corrects web text entry.

In addition, Sprint changed the way podcasts are downloaded, and the company's default email signature.
