Nokia has released firmware updates for three of its Symbian S60 smartphones.Nokia N79 - v32.001, however the changelog is not available in the mean time. We're sure it's a bugfix release.Nokia N85 - v31.002. According to AllAboutSymbian, the update only includes bug fixes and some minor tweaks.Nokia 5530 XM - v20.0.080. Updates Nokia’s Ovi apps (Maps, Store), Nokia Music widget, and more, in addition to the usual bug fixes.

Palm has released a firmware update for its Pre and Pixi handsets for Sprint. The new webOS version 1.3.5 has the following highlights:

• Improved downloading and storage of apps;
• Support for multiple simultaneous app downloads;
• No memory usage limit for the applications;
• Improvement in battery life optimization when in marginal coverage areas;
• QCELP capability fix to allow play and audio of video sent via MMS;
• Launch Google Maps or Sprint Nav when tapping an address from contacts;
• Minimized package of MR size through binary difference.

Verizon Wireless has released an OTA update for the HTC Droid Eris. Some of the fixes include:

• Better SMS/MMS compatibility with other handsets;
• Improvements to the on-screen mute and speakerphone keys;
• Faster call ending with two presses of the end key;
• Smoother activation;
• Other minor bug fixes

Motorola Droid users will soon receive the update too.

According to Verizon Wireless spokesperson Brenda Raney, owners of HTC Droid Eris will receive an Android 2.0 (or 2.1) OS update -- with Google Maps Navigation and Sense UI -- during the Q1 of 2010.

HTC has made a worldwide release of a new software patch called “Digital Picture Enhancement” for its HD2 smartphone, which includes fixes for the device's camera. RIM has updated its BlackBerry App World application to version 1.1.0.24. As expected, no changelog was released, though we can safely assume it includes a mix of bug fixes and minor tweaks and performance upgrades. If you use the service often, the update is recommended.
