According to the info from the Palm's website, the company plans to release an update that will enable Bluetooth voice dialing on the Sprint's Palm Treo 800w smartphone. Unfortunately, they didn't provide any other details on the update, except asking us to check back on this page "in the coming days."

After the appearance of the unofficial HTC Touch Diamond ROM that enables support for the 850MHz GSM, the manufacturer decided to release an build of its own, which btw not only adds support or the aforementioned spectrum, but includes a number of minor changes and fixes as well. It is available for download at the company's website.

Sprint's Palm Centro received a little update. It adds My Location feature to Google Maps, as well as improves Bluetooth performance and Gmail IMAP and SprintTV.

Sprint customers who own either HTC Touch or Mogul can now update their handset to Windows Mobile 6.1.

The Touch will now support Sprint's high-speed EV-DO Rev A. network, and will take advantage of the popular Opera web browser, and improved GPS functionality.

The HTC Mogul receives the same Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional upgrade. It will have updated versions of Microsoft Office and Live Search, as well as support for Sprint TV service.

HTC and Sprint have finally issued an official Windows Mobile 6.1 update for the Sprint Touch. It's nice to have an official build, though unofficial versions of this firmware have been available for quite a while now.

Just to remind you, the Windows Mobile 6.1 adds support for EV-DO Rev. A, an OEM version of Opera, enhances GPS functionality, and more.

The Neonode N2 touchscreen handset received a firmware update to version 2.1.552.2m. All willing can get it at the company's website.

Nokia has released a new software update for its N78 handset. The new build v.12.046 includes a number of performance tweaks for softkey selection, Bluetooth stability, video playback, email sending and alarm clock functions.

You can download the update directly on the handset over-the-air via any data network or Wi-Fi. Just click Menu -> Tools -> Utilities -> Device Manager -> Options -> Check for updates, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Verizon has released the official Windows Mobile 6.1 update for the ageing Samsung i760 smartphone. You can get it here, just make sure you choose the correct installer depending on your OS (XP/Vista).

Palm Treo 755p from Verizon has got a firmware update. Unfortunately, there's no info about it, only a phrase on the support page saying that this build "improves the phone application, stability and device usability." Well, sounds good enough for us, so if you own the respective handset, get it "tuned-up".
