Telus has become the second CDMA carrier (after Bell) to release the OS 4.7.0.122 update BlackBerry Storm 9530. But ther're both Canadian companies, and what about their southern neighbours? Well, it looks like Verizon will be the next. Telus subscribers can get the latest firmware build here.

Verizon has released an official BlackBerry 8830 OS update to OS 4.5.0.138. The latest build is currently available for download at the carrier’s BlackBerry page.

Hopefully, an update for the Storm is also on its way.

BlackBerry 8900 has received an OFFICIAL firmware update, which bumps the verision to OS 4.6.1.199. Based on the users' feedback, this build includes features like faster GPS locks, better Wi-Fi connectivity, better battery life and more.

HTC has released a new firmware update for their HTC Touch HD (unlocked version). It includes fixes for several browsing issues and title-bar flicker. The GPS Lock is now supposedly faster, Connection Setup database is up-to-date, emergency call handling in flight mode has also been improved...

BlackBerry 9530 users on Bell have received an exclusive firmware update for their handsets. Why exclusive? The latest OS 4.7.0.122 is not available to other carriers, and can't be installed by deleting the vendor.xml file. So those who are not on Bell will have to wait.

Another day, another leaked unofficial BlackBerry firmware update, this time for the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220, taking it to OS 4.6.0.259. As always, install it at your own risk and remember to backup your data before you do.

We hear that Verizon is planning to release the OS 4.7.0.113 firmware as its next official firmware for the BlackBerry Storm. Nokia has recently issued firmware updates for three of its handsets - Nokia E66, E71 and the 5800 XpressMusic. All can be downloaded via Nokia Software Updater, and include the following improvements:210.21.007 and 210.21.006 for Nokia E66 and E71, respectively, include stability and functionality improvements in the browser, camera, calendar, messaging and VoiP.
