LG Venus and Voyager have finally been released!

The Venus is a stylish slider with a large touch-sensitive QVGA display available for $199 after a $50 rebate on a 2-year contract with Verizon.

The Voyager is a more interesting piece, quite similar to the LG enV phone, only much more powerful.

LG Launches Two New Cell Phones in the U.S.

LG and Verizon have launched two new cell phones in the USA, the LG-VX10000 Voyager and the LG-VX8800 Venus.

Both handsets combine style and advanced features, such as 2.8" touch-screen, QWERTY keyboard, 2Mpix camera, Bluetooth, microSD port, GPS, and Mobile TV.

Nokia N95-3 with USA 3G HSDPA Now Available!

Great news for HSDPA lovers in USA!

Nokia has released a new version of its most advanced handset, the N95-3, which supports U.S. 3G HSDPA bands of 850/1900MHz.

The new model operates on AT&T's 3G network and is currently available in Chicago in "silver/dark sand" color scheme and in New York in "silver/black".

FCC Approved Nokia Communicator E90 for USA

Nokia E90 Communicator got the FCC approval. Nokia E90 is going to be released by T-Mobile soon. Although not offering 3G T-mobile says the handset will support such bands as' 850, 1700, and 1900MHz bands on a WCDMA network and 850 and 1900 in GSM.

T-Mobile USA announces its 25 million subscriber

T-Mobile USA is constantly adding customers and now they announced about the 25 million subscriber. However Cingular recently announced about having more that 60 million subscribers. T-Mobile also presented its Q4 2006 earnings. They say about 900k net new customers in Q4 (nearly 800k of those were post paid); 1.6 million "converged device" users (BlackBerry and Sidekick).

T-Mobile USA filed class action suit

T-Mobile USA filed class action suit

After using early termination fee policy T-Mobile USA has been filed a class action suit as T-Mobile charges customers $200 in case they leave before the end of their service contracts which are usually 2-years. T-Mobile actions of doing this violates as many as 13 state consumer protections laws, suit comments, as there is no allowance is given for how long the consumer has been with the mobile phone carrier or for the quality of service they receive.

T-Mobile USA has diverse results

T-Mobile posted its results saying that T-Mobile USA gained more than 800,000 net subscribers in the third quarter, the majority are the higher-valued postpaid variety. The major U.S. carrier now has a customer base of 24.1 million, of which 85 percent are postpaid subscribers.

Profit from postpaid service per user increased by $1 to $56, compared with $55 postpaid ARPU in both the second quarter of 2006 and the third quarter of 2005.

USA begins using Text Messaging

Text messaging being a service used only in Europe and Asia is becoming an important form of communication in the US.

NPD Group having researched this area announces that 40% of the nation's 220 million mobile phone users sending text messages regularly. They report that about 21 percent of U.S. subscribers have downloaded a ringtone (although only about 10% can be considered "active" downloaders), while about 9% have downloaded a mobile game.

T-Mobile USA makes presence known in AWS auction

T-Mobile USA quickly emerged as the top bidder in the advanced wireless services (AWS) auction which began earlier today. The carrier is in desperate need of spectrum to be able to launch 3G service, something that all three of its national competitors have already done.

After the first round of bidding $769m was put on the table. Of that T-Mobile claimed $437m, making up more than half of the total auction.
