Just to let you know: Verizon subscribers can now purchase the new LG Versa for $200 after a mail-in rebate, along with the customary new contract. It's a good choice if you're looking for a decent mid-range handset. Here's what it offers:

Verizon Wireless has announced that its new CDM8975 handset will be available via its business channels starting today. The device features PTT (push-to-talk), GPS, stereo Bluetooth, 1.3Mpix camera, video capture and stereo speakers, microSD card expansion up to 8GB.

It'll cost you $100 after rebates and a 2-year agreement.

Verizon is ready to release its newest PTT flip phone called CDM8975. The handset will feature a 1.3Mpix camera, 2" 176x220 pixel internal display, 1" 96x96 pixel external display, 2.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth, MP3 music playback, WAP browser, and microSDHC slot supporting up to 8GB cards.

$149.99 with a 2 year contract;

Before we get to the MWC related news, we should inform you that Verizon is now offering the Samsung Omnia at $99.99 on its website. This price includes a $70 online-only discount and the customary 2-year contract. Choosing the 1-year contract will cost you $169, while the full retail price of the phone is $559.

BlackBerry Storm 9500 from Vodafone and the 9530 from Verizon have received new unofficial firmware updates, particularly 4.7.0.103 for the latter, and 4.7.0.106 for the former.

So far the feedback was mostly positive: better camera, navigation, and browser. All willing can download the file here. Don't forget to backup your data.

Verizon customers will be pleased to know that the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 will soon be available on carrier's network. Pricing and availability details weren't revealed yet, but there is a number of test units already available, so the release is extremely close.

As expected, Verizon Hub has been released today at carrier's network. This all-in-one handset features VoIP support, a 7" WVGA  touch display, Vcast support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, speakerphone, and more.

Verizon's XV6900 (HTC Touch) smartphone has received an official Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM upgrade. It includes all the latest firmware updates, enables EVDO Rev. A support, and offers an updated MMS client, Microsoft Remote Desktop Application, VZNavigator support, as well as support for 16GB microSD memory cards.
