Vodafone has announced the BlackBerry Storm, and put it on their official website. No pricing or availability details were announced.

Features include:

• 3.25" touch screen display at 460 x 360 resolution;
• 3.2Mpix camera with autofocus and flash;
• Automatic screen rotation;
• 128MB RAM;
• 1GB internal memory;
• microSDHC memory card slot;
• HSPA connectivity

No Wi-Fi.

While Verizon and Vodafone are taking their time with announcing the BlackBerry Storm, a promotional video for the handset made by Vodafone has leaked in the web today. Here it is:

Verizon doesn't seem rush with the release of the BlackBerry Storm. Meanwhile, a User Guide for the device has become available for public today, along with some info about RIM's BlackBerry Application Center. What's taking so long, Verizon?

 

Verizon Wireless has announced three new phones today, which it intends to release on October 14. They are the Motorola Rapture VU30, Motorola VU204, and the Samsung Sway.

Motorola Rapture is a clamshell phone with an interesting design, which comes equipped with a 1.6” external display, 2.2" QVGA internal display,  2Mpix camera, microSD card slot, stereo Bluetooth, and a 2.

Verizon will soon be getting the new MING-style Motorola Krave ZN4 flip phone. Below you can see a list of its features and pricing:

• EV-DO Rev. A;
• 2Mpix camera;
• VCast Mobile TV;
• HTML browser;
• Bluetooth;
• microSDHC card expansion;
• microUSB connection

The Krave ZN4 will be released on October 14th with the following pricing:

• $149.

Verizon will be releasing their new Samsung Sway U650 on October 14th. Specifications are nothing special:

• 2Mpix camera;
• Music player;
• microSDHC slot;
• Bluetooth connectivity

Be advised, EV-DO support seems to be meesing, so you won’t be able to enjoy over-the-air Music Download with Verizon.

Verizon has added the new Samsung U430, a slightly upgraded version of the U410, to its lineup today. Only the color scheme was changed, apparently, as both models offer the same features: 128x160 internal display, VGA camera, Mobile Web 2.0,  Media Center (aka Get-it-Now), Bluetooth, and NO microSD slot, again. The phone is available for $99 after a $50 rebate with a 1-year contract, or free ($79 price - $79 on line discount) with a 2-year contract.

According to the leaked Verizon document sneaked by Engadget, the company won't release the BlackBerry Storm and the HTC Touch Diamond before November 2nd  and December 3rd, respectively.

Why? Because these dates are when they plan to finish the pre-launch internal training for each device.

So there's a chance we'll see the BB Storm during the first week of November.

It took forever, but it happened. Verizon and Motorola have finally announced the Windows Mobile 6.1 update for the Motorola Q9c. Now yet another deserving group of users will enjoy features like copy/paste and threaded SMS on their mobile handsets. Get it while it's good.
