Verizon Wireless will launch the Motorola Z6tv on October 5th.

This slider is the third MediaFLO phone compatible with Verizon Wireless' VCAST Mobile TV service. Some of its features include EV-DO data, stereo Bluetooth, 2Mpix camera, and a microSD slot for additional storage.

The Z6tv will be available for $179 after $50 rebate with new 2-year contract.

Verizon Wireless introduced the new USB727 wireless broadband modem by Novatel Wireless.

The device provides on-the-go access to Verizon Wireless' national high-speed wireless broadband network, and is compatible with Windows (Vista, XP, 2000), Mac and Linux operating systems. Just plug the modem into a Type A USB port and you're ready to go. In addition, there is a microSD slot for data storage supporting up to 4GB.

We have some new details concerning the LG VX8800 cell phone.

The handset is equipped with a 2Mpix camera, instead of 1.3Mpix one mentioned earlier. Still, there is no AutoFocus and flash. The scroll wheel is replaced with an interactive Dynamic Color TFT Touchpad. Also, there are two new themes available, the standard "Verizon" and the new one you see on the photos.

Verizon Wireless said today that in the 12 months since it launched the LG Chocolate in the United States it has sold more than 3.4 million units -- an obvious comparison to the one million units-per-quarter performance of Apple Inc.'s iPhone, which sells at rival carrier AT&T Mobility.

That's an average rate of about 850,000 Chocolate handsets per quarter, which compares well with Apple's stated intent to sell one million iPhones in the third quarter -- the first quarter for iPhone sale -- which it reached Sept.

Verizon became the second wireless carrier (after Sprint) to offer the new Motorola RAZR2 V9m, with AT&T and Alltel still to follow. You can either purchase the phone right now at the company's website, or wait until next week when you will be able to buy it in a local Verizon store.

Verizon Wireless plans to launch an updated version of the once popular LG VX8300 smartphone in September. The new model is marked VX8350, and comes with the following features:

Verizon and LG have a new olive (dark green) color scheme for their VX9900 enV handset, following the standard silver and black colors, and the wild orange flavor. Release date is yet unknown.
