This is a simple compact slider with a VGA camera, Bluetooth, pre-installed messaging software, Java games, and a shortcut to VirginXL portal, where you can download additional media for your handset.

Samsung Slash is a new upcoming handset for Virgin Mobile.
According to the carrier's website, the phone weighs in just 3 ounces, measures 3.8" x 1.8" x 0.7" and features Bluetooth connectivity, a color display, voice dialing, web access and a talk time of 3.5-hours.
Unfortunately, these are all the details revealed by now. No word on pricing or availability.

Motorola's RAZR2 V9m will soon be available in Canada from Virgin Mobile for $149 CAD (about $147) on 3-year contract.
Just to remind you, the phone features a 2Mpix camera, 2" external QVGA and a 2.2" internal QVGA displays, external music controls, stereo Bluetooth, EV-DO data, and a microSD card slot.

Virgin Mobile UK has announced a new pre-paid SIM-only calling plan, called "The Liberty SIM". If you already have a GSM phone and just need a pre-paid SIM card, this plan is for you. Now subscribers can enjoy cheaper wireless rates, from which the price of the phone is excluded. The company offers 300 wireless minutes and 300 SMS messages or 150 wireless minutes and 1000 SMS messages for the same price of 15GBP.

Intellect Wireless has sued Helio, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Virgin Mobile for patent infringement. According to Intellect all four companies are violating its patents regarding image messaging. All patents belong to the company's founder Daniel Henderson, and are titled Picture Phone with Caller ID, and Method and Apparatus for Improved Paging Receiver and System.
