Apparently, Vodafone will be the exclusive carrier to offer the Palm Pre in the UK. This is not confirmed yet, but reportedly Vodafone has been negotiating with Palm regarding their new touchscreen handset.

If the information is true, Palm will have to make a GSM version of the phone, which will be later available to other GSM carriers around the globe.<

Vodafone is planning to release the BlackBerry Storm in India on January 15th for Rs 27,990, which equals to $574. That's the whole news.

Vodafone subscribers owning a BlackBerry Storm 9500 should visit CrackBerry and download the latest 4.7.0.85 firmware update for the handset. According to users' feedback, the updated device performs slightly better than its Verizon counterpart with the same firmware version. For me knowing just that is a good enough reason do get my handset updated.

It looks like the Movistar ZTE E810 will soon be available from Vodafone. As seen from the pic, it's a pretty ugly low-end handset, with no support for 3G or Wi-Fi. In other words we're not really interested in it.

Vodafone UK customers who have been waiting for the HP's iPAQ Voice Messenger can finally get it. The all-business Windows Mobile-based smartphone is now available for order for anywhere between free and £85.11 ($126) depending on plan.

Today Vodafone's HTC Touch Diamond has received a firmware update to version 1.97.161.4. However, the official description of it won't tell you anything, as it only includes the following statement: “updating the software (firmware) will usually give you improved performance and often extra functionality”.

Vodafone Germany has released an new official OS 4.8.0.78 update for the BlackBerry Storm 9500. It includes a number of improvements, including the improved accelerometer, touchscreen accuracy, and more.

Reports from users who have already updated their handsets are mostly positive. Just don't forget to backup your data before applying the update.

The subject says it all. This will probably make a serious boost in the manufacturer's sales, as it enters a new market, and the phone itself isn't bad either. Some of the features include Windows Mobile 6.1, Wi-Fi, GPS and UMTS/HSDPA support.

There is some information about the possible release delay of the upcoming BlackBerry Storm on Vodafone. But don't worry, according to Vodafone’s own Storm pre-order page, the device will be available starting November 18th, and that's just 4 days later then originally planned. Nevertheless, it would be nice if they release the Storm on time.

Vodafone has announced the pricing for its BlackBerry Storm in the UK. The handset will be available starting November 11 and wiil be yours for:

• £300 (US $495) on 12-month contract, starting at £40/month
• FREE: 18-month contract, starting at £40/month
• FREE: 24-month contract, starting at £35/month

Pretty decent prices, I must say.
