ASUS P750 GPS Phone

ASUS has a new HSDPA-enabled WM6-based GPS Phone, called the ASUS P750.

It is a Candy Bar shaped handset with a numeric keypad, a joystick navigator and some shortcut keys.

Operating on a 520MHz processor, the device features Wi-Fi connectivity, SiRF star III GPS chipset, Bluetooth 2.

Wi-Fi-enabled Motorola Q9 Unboxed

BGR made a little review on the Wi-Fi-capable Motorola Q9 smartphone.

The phone they've received was AT&T branded and had with a chrome bezel instead of the dark silver one. Besides the 3G bands (HSDPA 850/1900 MHz) the device also supports Wi-Fi network, which appears to be the main difference of this model from the standard one.

Nortel and Qualcomm have developed a technology that will allow users to easily switch between CDMA and Wi-Fi networks while talking on the phone.

The technology was tested on the Nortel's IMS-based Voice Call Continuity network using the IMS/VCC client from Qualcomm.

FCC Unveils Wi-Fi-Enabled BlackBerry Pearl

FCC has unveiled some info about the new BlackBerry 8120.

The device is a GSM/EDGE version of the 8130 model, and has almost the same features as the previous including GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, stereo Bluetooth, external microSD slot, and updated mail client.

In addition, the 8120 also comes with 802.

Wi-Fi from Alltel

Alltel is now offering its subscribers access to thousands of different Wi-Fi networks across the USA from their smartphones and notebooks.

Available data plans include $10 per day, $20 per week or $30 per month.

Customers can also bundle the Wi-Fi service with EV-DO wireless data for $69.

RIM BlackBerry 8820 with Wi-Fi

The new BlackBerry 8820 uses Wi-Fi connectivity for accessing the web. It wasn't officially announced, so there is very little info about it. We know that 8820 doesn't differ much from 8800, and comes with a landscape display and QWERTY keyboard. The camera is lacking, not sure about the memory slot.

The first carrier to offer the device is also unknown.

The BlackBerry 8320 is the first device with WiFi that it is very similar to the 8300.

This device has standard 2.5mm stereo jack.

The 8320 is probably coming to T-Mobile USA.
