Apparently, Verizon's XV6900 has received an unofficial software update. According to the source, the new build version 3.14.605.1 updates the OS to WM 6.1, and adds other cool stuff like gpsOne, VZ Navigator and Opera Mobile.
As always, if you plan to try the update, make sure to backup your existing data.

This is the new IcePhone, or rather a micro notebook, as dubbed by the manufacturer. The root Ice stands for In Case of Emergency, which means the device is definitely not targeted at the fashion-addicted market segment.
The IcePhone comes with three independent panels, which include a 3" touchscreen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, a mouse pad and game console controls.

The AT&T's Holiday lineup is now fully available due to today's release of the mid-range touchscreen smartphone called LG Incite.
AT&T customers can get it now for $199 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a 2-year contract. The unlocked version will cost you $500.
Below you will find a detailed list of the Incite's features.
Hardware:
- 3″ WQVGA touchscreen with haptic feedback;
- Virtual QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode or a 20-key keyboard in portrait view;
- 256 MB ROM/128 MB RAM;

We don't know whether this screen is real or fake, but it better be real, as it looks simply awsome. Supposedly, this is screenshot of the Windows Mobile 6.5 interface. Don't know about you, but I think it's just a Zune theme for the WinMo 6.1.
There's always hope, though, and maybe we'll even see this live in several months.

Remember the first puplic mentioning of the Windows Mobile 6.5? Well, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has confirmed that rumor.
Speaking at an event in Australia, he said that the upcoming version is part of the company's roadmap toward Windows Mobile 7. He also indicated that Windows Mobile 6.5 will be released sometime in 2009, but refused to give any additional details.

Will we see Windows Mobile 6.5 before the release of WM 7? We ask this for a reason. Who would have though that another version of WM 6 is coming, especially when the 7th edition is already seen on the horizon.
Sanjay Jha, phone CEO at Motorola, has obviously leaked the information he didn't mean to. In particular he said: "Windows Mobile 6 has not delivered the experience that I think Apple has been able to deliver, but as you look at the plan that Windows Mobile 7 and even 6.

The FCC has revealed a new Windows Mobile device from Samsung on its website, called the i770. According to FCC documents it runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, and features the following:
- Full QWERTY keyboard;
- CDMA-EVDO and quad-band GSM radios;
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR;
- microSD storage cards;
- Headset jack;
- Camera (unknown res)
This one probably goes to Verizon Wireless, but this info is not confirmed yet.
