Several new screenshots of Windows Mobile 6.5 interface have surfaced today. One of them reveals the new Internet Explorer, and I must say Microsoft has been busy working on its browser. It uses a zoom slider, as seen on the pic, which should be rather useful when the OS finally comes out.
More details are yet to follow. We'll keep you up to date.

WMExperts are reporting that the Firefox Mobile browser, codenamed Fennec, could become availailable for testing on the HTC Touch Pro. The device runs Windows Mobile, and all the browsers released for this platform turned out to be superior to the default Internet Explorer.
We'll see whether Fennec will be a good competitor to Safari or Opera.

Expansys has reveale some details about two upcoming Windows Mobile phones from Samsung, called the Louve and the Pivot.
Samsung Louve is a Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro based handset with a tilting screen, 3.2Mpix camera, customizable widget UI and a design similar to the TyTN II.
Samsung Pivot is a WinMo6.5 smartphone, basically an updated Samsung i780.

Thanks to some PPCGeeks.com forum members, a couple of HTC's CDMA smartphones, such as the HTC Touch and the HTC Touch Pro can now run a hacked pre-release version of Windows Mobile 6.5. The new ROMs are now available for download at PPCGeeks.com forum, so if you're willing to risk bricking your handset, feel free to try the new OS.

XDA-Developers have managed to install Windows Mobile 6.5 on the HTC Raphael/Fuze. They say there's still much work to be done, and a number of bugs to be fixed. Anyway, it's great news, and we'd definitely try it once the final biuld is released.

Verizon's XV6900 (HTC Touch) smartphone has received an official Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM upgrade. It includes all the latest firmware updates, enables EVDO Rev. A support, and offers an updated MMS client, Microsoft Remote Desktop Application, VZNavigator support, as well as support for 16GB microSD memory cards.

If you happen to own an HTC BlueAngel pocket pc phone, then you have the possibility to try out the new Windows Mobile 6.5 Beta that has appeared today at XDA Developer forum. Currently it doesn't differ much from the existing Windows Mobile 6.1, but the final build should inlude a new interface among other things.

The first supposed screenshots of the upcoming Windows Mobile 6.5 have surfaced today. We can clearly see that the build number is 5.2.21140, which is quite different from the current 5.2.20757 firmware version found on the HTC Touch HD.

According to some sources, Microsoft will be announcing 3 new cloud services for Windows Mobile, as well as the new version (6.5) of their mobile platform at the Mobile World Congress show in February. Reportedly, those services will include:
Skybox, which is a similar service to Apple’s MobileMe that syncs PIM data online; Skyline, which is similar to SkyBox, but for small businesses and includes hosted Exchange; SkyMarket, which is basically Microsoft’s version of the App Store
