Verizon Wireless has officially launched the much-awaited LG enV (aka LG VX9900). The handset is a successor of the popular LG VX9800 ( aka "The V").

The LG enV features the same dual-face design and QWERTY keyboard as its predecessor and lots of other features:

• EV-DO highspeed data (V Cast)
• 2-megapixel camera
• Music player (MP3/WMA) plus stereo speakers
• Bluetooth with stereo support
• microSD card slot

The LG enV is available for $150 with a two year contract.

Some wireless carriers is going to shoulder the cost of providing wireless service in Boston 's Big Dig tunnels. It is done in order to give the drivers the possibility not to have their cell-phone conversations interrupted.

As documents filed with the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority state there are negotiations to provide mobile coverage in the tunnels.

Motorola, a major mobile phone vendor, reported about the buying of wireless e-mail provider Good Technology Inc. Ron Garriques, president of Motorola's Mobile Devices business said that the Good Technology would advance Motorola's vision of seamless mobility. Andrew Corp. reported that it is going to buy the wireless division of EMS Technologies Inc for $50.5 million in cash. It says the deal is planning to be made in the next few months.

During the first half of this year EMS Wireless based in Georgia increased its revenues of $28.5 million from sales of its base station antennas and in-building repeaters for cellular networks.
