NTT DoCoMo unveiled the new Fujitsu FOMA F1100 at CEATEC 2007, a slider smartphone targeted at business users.

The device runs on Windows Mobile 6 OS and supports 3G HSDPA network (no GSM). Other features include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi a/b/g connectivity, a 2.6" QVGA screen, numeric keypad, 1.

Most of the actual Windows Mobile based devices already operate on the latest version of the OS. Now the WM6 upgrade is also available for TechFaith UBiQUiO 501 smartphone users.

You can get it at Redmond for no extra charge.

Eten started offering Windows Mobile 6 upgrades for its X500 and the M700 Glofiish PPC phones. Both devices originally come with Windows Mobile 5, but now the ROMs will upgrade them to Windows Mobile 6 Professional, which fixes bugs, adds functionality and optimizes for better performance.
