Evernote app for Windows Phone 7 has recently been updated. The newly updated app can be found by way of the Windows Phone Marketplace.Changelog:

NFC is a standard that some industries are attempting to standardize, such as Google with their Google Wallet mobile payment services and ISIS, who has teamed up with Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile to provide mobile payment services of their own.Today Microsoft has officially confirmed that their Windows Phone 7 platform does come with support for NFC, but ultimately the decision as to whether to include NFC in Windows Phone devices rests solely on the manufacturers.

Well, the Lenovo LePhone S2 is on its way to production.The device has just been caught running on both Android and Windows Phone 7 OS in a dual-boot configuration.This is the first time we ever heard the device name and due to that fact we are pretty sure the LePhone S2 won’t hit US.

It looks like Best Buy will be offering up the device for a mere $50 with a new 2-year contract of course and it offers free shipping too.

For those wondering, the HD7S is basically the same as the HD7 device but with a couple of changes, namely a 4.3-inch Super LCD screen and a couple of minor style adjustments.

The device also includes a 1GHz processor on top of the Windows Phone 7 operating system, a 5MP camera and the device also comes along with Wi-Fi and GPS support.

Perhaps in an attempt to boost sales of their Windows Phone 7 devices in anticipation of the Mango update coming out in fall, Microsoft has decided to have a sale for Windows Phone 7 devices, namely the HTC HD7,HTC Trophy and the HTC Arrive.

Comparing the prices against the sale, the HTC Trophy is available Verizon Wireless for $149.00, while the HTC Arrive can be purchased from Sprint for as low as $199.

Recently at Computex Acer have shown off their brand new Windows Phone 7 handset, the Acer W4.

The Acer W4 will be featuring a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor, a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive screen sporting a 480 x 800 resolution, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, quad-band GSM support and a 5MP camera and come along with 8GB of internal storage.

 

Recently there were snapped a few shots of an as-of-yet unnamed HTC device running Windows Phone.

It seems that the device sports a look very similar to the HTC Trophy, although this particular gem is capable of capturing images at 12 megapixel resolution, that is comparable to the Nokia N8.

Sadly, there is still no additional info regarding the device.

Microsoft is ready to roll out the "7392" post-NoDo update to phones on Sprint in the US and Orange in Europe (with one exception: updates to the Omnia 7 will be meted out in phases).

It's not a Mango-sized update, the 7392 refresh is a security patch that fixes fraudulent third-party certificates that could lead to phishing attacks or content spoofing.

 

According to T-Mobile UK’s support page, it looks like the Samsung Omnia 7 is in for a NoDo update and users can proceed to download it.

But it seems a bit late to be receiving the NoDo update what with Windows Phone 7′s Mango update expecting a Fall release.

 

ZTE was announced yesterday as one of the Microsoft's partners that would be manufacturing Windows Phone 7 compatible devices.

Cheng Lixin told Reuters in an interview on Wednesday during a company event, ”Phone carriers in the U.S. have expressed a lot of interest and we’ve said that we’ll support Mango. We’ll likely see Mango smartphones early next year,” said the Texas-based executive.
