Our Motorola Moto G Stylus (2022) Review

In my time with the Moto G Stylus, the built-in stylus was a standout feature, allowing me to jot down notes and edit photos with ease. The 6.8-inch display, sharp and vivid, made streaming and sketching a visually satisfying experience. A two-day battery life meant I rarely reached for the charger, which was liberating. While the 50MP camera was adept at capturing detailed shots, the image quality sometimes varied. Although the phone moves smoothly through tasks with its octa-core processor, storage-hungry users might find 128GB limiting over time. Yet, for everyday use, connecting to Wi-Fi hotspots and navigating apps was seamless.

✅ Reasons to buy

I enjoyed the built-in stylus feature, which allowed for effortless sketching and precise editing on photos, making tasks that require a detailed touch a breeze. The two-day battery life was a standout; I used it heavily for gaming and streaming without the constant need to recharge. The 50MP camera system impressed me by capturing sharp and vibrant images, from wide landscapes to detailed close-ups. Moreover, the 6.8" Max Vision FHD+ display and 90 Hz refresh rate provided a smooth visual experience, whether I was viewing content or scrolling through apps.

❌ Reasons not to buy

While I appreciate the longevity of the Moto G Stylus’s battery, I’ve noticed that it might feel a bit heavy and cumbersome for those who prefer sleeker devices. Additionally, users accustomed to high-end smartphones may find the camera and processing performance not meeting their expectations for more demanding tasks.

⚖ïļ The Verdict

After extensive use, I’m impressed with the Moto G Stylus' long-lasting battery and high-quality camera. Despite its size and weight, it’s a solid choice for most users, offering great value for its price point.
