Texting on Google Glass is as dangerous as on a phone You'd think hands-free texting on Google Glass while driving would be a lot safer, but apparently, that's not the case.A team of University of Central Florida researchers got 40 subjects in their 20s to drive a simulator while texting a math problem using voice transcription on Google Glass.The researchers observed how fast the drivers slammed on their brakes when a car suddenly stops in front of them during the simulation.

Adieu to 'Airplane Mode' on European airlines Late last year, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) had decided to permit personal electronics like smartphones and tablets to remain on during takeoff and landing as long as it was in "Airplane Mode." Now, even that restriction has been lifted.The EASA has deemed "Airplane Mode" no longer necessary, thus allowing for true "gate-to-gate" electronics use. Of course, even if the EASA permits it, each airline will still have to take an assessment test to make sure it won't negatively affect aircraft communications.

3G-capable LG smartwatch appears at FCC LG's apparently gearing up to release a new smartwatch in the US other than the G Watch R, one that's 3G-capable, just like Samsung's Gear S.A document that's just passed through the FCC points to an oval/rectangular LG smartwatch (57.7 x 35.5 mm) slightly smaller than the Gear S (58.3 x 39.8 mm) which comes with CDMA connectivity.Because of its codename (VC100) and the fact that it supports Verizon's CDMA frequencies, it might just land on Big Red if there's a US launch.

LG G Pro 3 to be the company’s first phone to use the Odin chip LG G Pro 3 could be the Korean company’s first mobile device to use its own mobile chip, the long-time rumored LG Odin.If everything goes as planned, TSMC will be manufacturing the chip that will power-up LG’s next flagship phablet. Since that device will be announced in 2015, we would expect Odin to boast a 64-bit architecture. Or not, it’s not like LG already makes 32-bit chips.
