T-Mobile USA announced that starting September 8th it will be offering the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 smartphone. The handset will be available for $79.99 with a new 2-year contract, and will feature a QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an optical trackpad, and will receive a BlackBerry 6 OS update shortly after launch.

Mozilla has issued alpha versions of its Firefox Mobile browser, better known as Fennec, for Nokia N900 and Android powered smartphones. Fennec for Android works on Android 2.0 or later and requires 30MB of available internal storage. There are both ARMv7 and ARMv5 CPU optimized builds available. Also, expect some bugs to occur, since its an alpha build.

U.S. Cellular began selling the HTC Desire. This Android 2.1 powered smartphone is available for $199.95 after a $70 mail-in-rebate with a two-year contract. Its features include 3.7" touchscreen, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

According to Nokia C3's overview page, the phone is coming to Rogers. It's a S40 powered smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard, a 2.4" display, Wi-Fi, 3G connectivity, and a 2Mpix camera. Pricing and exact release date are unknown atm.

At the next week's IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin, Germany, Huawei will be announcing a new Android 2.2 handset, the Ideos U8150. It will feature Wi-Fi and 3G HSDPA support, a 2.8" capacitive touchscreen, a 3.2Mpix camera/camcorder, GPS for navigation, and will operate on a 528MHz processor. Stay tuned for more info.

AT&T has announced today that it will soon start selling the Sony Ericsson Vivaz, a Symbian S60 5th edition powered handset. It offers an 8.1Mpix camera with 720p HD video recording support, GPS, Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 3.2" nHD display. The camera also supports auto-focus, face detection, an image stabilizer, flash, and geotagging.The device will be available beginning on September 5th and will cost $79.
