Huawei officially announced the more affordable version of the Honor 3C, Honor 3C Play.
This is an entry-level device that offers solid bang for the buck, including a 5-inch IPS 720p HD screen, MediaTek’s MT6582 quad-core chip clocked at 1.3GHz, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
There’s dual-SIM capability and a pair of cameras: 8-megapixel one on the back and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is running the show with Huawei’s own Emotion UI singing on top.
In China, users will be able to grab the Honor 3C Play for as little as CNY 599, which is the amount that translates into some $97. In other parts of the world, however, the price will be higher.
