LG is sure weird, at least when it comes to naming its low-cost Android soldiers.
The on-the-rise Korean mobile manufacturer unveiled the F60 for “international” markets nearly two months back, then offered it to MetroPCS clients in the US as the Optimus F60, and now sells it to Verizon customers under the awkward moniker Transpyre.
The sweaty 4.5 incher is however incredibly cheap on Big Red, so you may still be inclined to purchase it and recommend it to your friends as a generic LG. Heck, at $99.99 off-contract, Verizon could call it the LG Excrement, and you’d still buy it.
Fairly large, nearly up to date software-wise, with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed, and beefed up by a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor, the Transpyre also supports 4G LTE connectivity. Only on Verizon, obviously, with prepaid data plans starting at $45 a month.
