Verizon Wireless will release today the Samsung Gleam and Motorola Z6tv, and plans to launch the Samsung Juke SCH-U470 on October 19th. Here's some information about them.
The upcoming Samsung Juke SCH-U470 measures 3.82"H x 1.18"W x 0.83"D and weighs 2.82 oz. It will feature 2GB of Internal Memory and no MicroSD slot, USB interface for data transfer, and support for MP3, WMA, WMA Pro, and unprotected ACC and ACC+ audio formats. Other highlights include a 128x200 pixel TFT screen, VGA camera, Get-it Now, VZ Navigator, and Bluetooth connectivity. The U470 will be available for $99.99 with a 2-year agreement (with no rebate).
The new Samsung Gleam SCH-U700 is a clamshell handset featuring a 240x320 Pixel 262K QVGA internal display, 2Mpix camera, MP3 and WMA formats support, front touch-sensitive controls, Stereo speakers, MicroSD Card Slot (up to 4GB), VCast Video & Music, VZ Navigator, and Bluetooth. The phone measures 3.88"H x 1.91"W x 0.55"D and has a weight of 3.35 oz. The Gleam will cost $149.99 with a 2-year contract (after a $50 mail in rebate).
The Motorola RIZR Z6tv is the latest cell phone from Verizon to support the VCast Mobile TV MediaFLO Service. This slider features a 2" 240x320 65K color QVGA display, 2Mpix camera, VZ Navigator, MicroSD card slot (up to 2GB), MP3 playback, and Bluetooth. The phone measures (closed) 4.20"H x 1.8"W x 0.64"D and weighs 3.70 oz. The price is $179 with a 2-year agreement (after $50 mail in rebate).
