Finally, it happened. Nokia's S60 smartphones will now support Microsoft's Silverlight platform, the competitive technology to the Adobe Flash.
This is a web-based cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in, which delivers "the next generation of media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web". It is used at various websites, such as NBA.com and NBC Universal. And now it is going mobile.
Silverlight for S60 will be available for developers later this year.
