We're glad to inform you that Meizu’s (still-)highly-anticipated M8 will begin shipping between December 8th and 10th. The problem is that Meizu didn't obtain all the necessary licenses to start selling the phone in China, and the phones will remain "Demo units (not for sale)” until the manufacturer gets a license.
