SK Telecom South Korean wireless network operators and KTF as an answering to customer request are planning to launch alert systems in order to give notice to mobile Internet users when they are about the end of their monthly data usage limits.
KTF official said: "It is quite possible that users do not recognize how much they will be charged if they use the mobile Internet as if they are connected to the fixed-line network at home. So we are going to establish safety measures for them from next month."
i-Plug users will be notified by KTF when they reach some amount of Internet use. Also SK Telecom is working on a similar plan for its T-Login service. It’s like Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess and Sprint Nextel's PowerVision do when users connect their laptops to the Internet via wireless PC cards.
