Nokia is to set up a mobile device manufacturing plant in the county of Cluj in Romania. The construction work will begin in spring 2007 and production is expected to start in the first half of 2008. The Cluj factory will be company's 11th mobile device production facility. Nokia decided to establish a new factory in Romania because of the increasing demand for mobile devices in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. And Cluj is a perfect location for this plant for many reasons.
The company's global manufacturing network continuously develops to increase competitiveness and provide excellent logistics services for the customers. Nokia already has plants in Mexico, China, India, Germany, Hungary and Finland.
